Michael Hjalmer Landean, 68 of Hillman, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2026 in Hillman. He was born to the late Hjalmer and Barbara (Baker) Landean on February 25, 1958 in Biddeford, Maine. He has resided in Hillman for the last 13 years. Michael delivered newspapers for the Sioux City Journal and enjoyed trips to Salem, Maine. He collected football cards, primarily for the New England Patriots, and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Known as a bit of a homebody, he liked socializing with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He is and will be deeply missed.

Michael is remembered by his children, Gregory Landean, Scott (Lacey Beavers) Landean, Stephany (Jeremy Fick) Landean; grandchildren, Andrew and Sarina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hjalmer and Barbara Landean; sister, Arlene; and his faithful chihuahua, Lady.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial held in celebration of Michael’s life at a later date in Maine. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
