Mr. Paul McMurray, 79 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on June 29, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1945 to the late Matthew and Eva (Mackenzie) McMurray in Alpena, Michigan. Paul grew up in Hillman and served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1965-1967. He married his wife, Janet “Jan” (Brandt) McMurray on August 5, 1972 and together the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing. Paul was the pastor of numerous churches over the years including; Tower Baptist, Winslow Grace Bible Church, Curran Baptist Church, and the Dayton Center Church. He enjoyed both golfing and hunting. Paul is and will be deeply missed.

Paul is remembered by his loving wife, Jan McMurray; sons, Matthew (Sara) McMurray and Mark (Dena) McMurray; grandchildren, Ethan, Riley, Ana, and Emery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Eva McMurray; and brother, Don.

Funeral services for Paul will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Green Funeral Home, Hillman. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service followed by a luncheon at the VFW Post, Hillman. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in memory of Paul to Maranatha Fellowship Church, PO Box 466, Litchfield, Michigan 49252.
