Mrs. Pearl Catherine Carsey, 96 years old, of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully in her home on February 4, 2026. She was born in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to the late William and Beulah (Long) Clonch on December 30, 1929. Pearl and her late husband, Mac, vacationed at their cabin in Atlanta in the 1960s and permanently moved to the area in the early 1970’s. They owned and operated a beloved local general store, Golden Pine Center or some just called it Mac and Pearl’s for 20+ years where community members could find everything from Pearl’s homemade goods and groceries to fuel and snowmobiles. Pearl and Mac traveled all across the United States to every state except Hawaii. Mac preceded Pearl in death in February of 2002. Pearl was particular in her ways and how she did things and she drove up until the age of 95. She was a past member of the Atlanta Quilters. Her passion for quilting was shown in the beautiful handmade quilts she gifted to family members. She adored her grandchildren and loved to take them fishing at the lake. She will be missed but leaves behind countless memories and quilted treasures for those she loved.

Pearl is remembered by her son, Don (Pat) Carsey; grandchildren, Brad (Marjorie), Sarah, Brian, Chandles, Michael, Kevin, Shannon, Mike, Jeff, Rick (Kendra), Glenn; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Whaley. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah Clonch; husband, Mac Carsey; daughter, Judy (Dave) Benac; siblings, Dale, Mary Margaret, Roy, Helen, Morton “Toots”. Funeral services for Pearl will take place at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta; Pastor Dave Fisher officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM until time of service. Interment will take place at Avery Township Cemetery, Atlanta in the Spring. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
