Raymond Lapointe

Raymond Joseph LaPointe Mr. Raymond Joseph LaPointe, 82 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on January 9, 2018 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born in Albany, New York on April 4, 1935 to the late, Theothrase and Exilia (Perraz) LaPointe. He married his wife, Irene (Sheroski) LaPointe in 1954 and together the couple celebrated 50+ years of marriage before her passing in 2013. Ray was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church both in Lewiston as well as Englewood, Florida; the American Legion Post 198, The Lewiston Moose, and the Gaylord Elks. He was a hard worker and instilled that work ethic into each of his sons. Ray will greatly be missed by family and all who were blessed to have known him. He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Janice) LaPointe of Jacksonville, Florida; Dale (Michelle Carnago) LaPointe of Lewiston; James (Kristine) LaPointe of Grosse Ile; Timothy (Shannon) LaPointe of Johannesburg; grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Noelle, Danielle, Dustin, Kellie, Monica, Allison, and Timmy; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Teresa (Tommy) Sheroski of Davison; Paul (Rose) Sheroski of Johannesburg; Fernon Bergron of Sault Ste. Marie; Joe (Marion) LaPointe of Iowa; and Virginia (Henry) LaPointe of Central Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theothrase and Exilia; wife, Irene; son, Jerry; brothers, Hector and Arthur; and sisters, Solange Cuzzocrea and Yvette Turner. Mr. LaPointe has been cremated. Funeral services for Mr. LaPointe will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Santiago Hoyumpa officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service.

Mr. LaPointe has been cremated. Funeral services for Mr. LaPointe will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lewiston; Fr. Santiago Hoyumpa officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until time of service.
