Raymond Charles Smith Jr.

Raymond Charles Smith Jr, 74 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland on May 18, 2025. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 4, 1951. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Raymond has been in the Hillman area for the last 50 years. He was a simple man. He loved to socialize and could often be found down at the Hi-Way Inn enjoying a Bud Light with friends. Raymond was an outdoorsman and enjoyed cooking for the family BBQ’s, hunting, and fishing. He is and will be deeply missed.

Raymond is remembered by his children, Robert Smith, Karen (Brett) Martin, Jason (Gigi) Smith, Jessica Smith, Christina Smith; grandchildren, Shawna, Robert, Kyle, Andrew, Clayton, Alyssa, Emma, Jacob, Kaeden, Alanah, Jeremiah, Tyler, Tayler, Connor, Alyvia, Audrey, Jameson, and Bella; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Cecil (Tammy) Smith, Gary (Ruby) Smith, David (Tina) Smith, Mary (Clyde) Bandy; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Irene; and brother, Terry.

In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Raymond privately at this time.
