Rev. D. Dean Coursey Rev. D. Dean Coursey, 82, of Lewiston, MI, passed away on November 5, 2014 in Fairview, MI. He was born on February 7, 1932 to Belford and Eva (Tracey) Coursey in Detroit, MI. He married the former Mary Ann Belack on June 20, 1953 in Detroit, MI. Dean has lived in Lewiston since 1996 after building a place here in 1988. He dedicated 50 years of service to God, serving churches throughout the country including, Cecil Presbyterian Church in Cecil, OH, 1st Missionary Church in St Petersburg, FL, Eastlawn Missionary Church in Detroit, Missionary Church in San Jose, CA, Calvary Community Church in Thousand Oaks, CA, Roseville Missionary Church in Roseville, MI, and Allen Road Missionary Church in Taylor, MI, before retiring from the Lovells Community Chapel in 2002. Dean enjoyed woodworking, building furniture and cabinets, even helping in home construction over the years as well. He loved to study and read his bible and enjoyed music. He liked to be outside in his yard, from raking leaves to taking snow and ice off his roof in the winter. Above all else, he loved his time with family and friends and will be dearly missed. Dean is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of Lewiston, MI; son, Jeff Coursey of Clay, MI; daughters, Elizabeth (Bernie) Epstein of Bakersfield, CA and DeAnna (Elijah) Pena of Roseville, MI; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Jonathon, Josh, Sara, Joshua, Rachel, and Hannah; and 4 great grandchildren, Alex, Justin, Ariele, and Joseph. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Bill, and sisters, Jean Coursey and Marjorie Fultz. Funeral services for Rev Coursey will be held on Tuesday at 11:00AM at the Lovells Community Chapel, Rev Gary Hopp officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the church in Lovells, and again Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested the Coursey Family to help with expenses, or to the Lovells Community Chapel.
