Richard Douglas Babcock

Mr. Richard "Dick" Douglas Babcock, 52 of Wolverine, Michigan died suddenly on June 17, 2024. He was born on July 24, 1971 to Dan and Linda (Miller) Babcock in Cheboygan, Michigan. He married his loving wife, Wanda (Herman) Babcock on March 30, 1992 and together they celebrated 32 years of marriage before his passing. Dick and Wanda were everything to one another and they loved each other very much. Dick enjoyed a variety of hobbies including; two tracking, mushroom picking, hunting, fishing, woodworking, old country and folk music, hunting with his metal detector, and playing Euchre. Dick had a great smile and an even greater sense of humor, some would claim his humor to be dry, but it always brought a smile to their face. He was a hard worker and a master carpenter. Family was important to Dick and twice a day, both morning and afternoon, he would have coffee with his mom, Linda. He loved to play with his grandchildren and spend time with family. Dick is and will be deeply missed.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Babcock; children, Justine (Rhett) Janssen, Shawna Babcock, and Richard Babcock; grandchildren, Drake, Davina, Evelyn, Cecilia, and Vincent; mother, Linda Babcock; brothers, Daniel (Wendy) Babcock, Charles (Patricia) Babcock, Jacques Babcock; sisters, Cynthia (Tracy) Anderson, Jessica (Ben) Roude; son-in-law, Michael Jozwiak; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan E. Babcock.

 In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
