Roger Palmer

December 15, 1933 — October 5, 2017

Roger Wilbert Palmer Mr. Roger Wilbert Palmer, 83 of Lewiston, Michigan died unexpectedly on October 5, 2017. He was born on December 15, 1933 in Texas to the late, Benjamin and Elizabeth Palmer. Roger retired from Thompson and McCully Asphalt after 30 years where he worked in paving construction. Formerly of Lachine, he moved to the Lewiston area five years ago. He was a member of the Lewiston Moose and enjoyed both to hunt and fish. He was a shade tree mechanic and loved to work on cars. Roger loved his dogs, and most importantly, he loved his family. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sons, Ben Palmer of Lapeer; John Palmer of Romulus; Jerry Palmer of Romulus; Jeff Palmer of Belleville; James Palmer of Harrison; James (Taylor Erickson) Palmer II, USMC, USAR of Lachine; Dennis (Leighanna) Palmer, USAR, of Fort Drum, New York; daughters, Debi (Michael) Grybas of Stockbridge; Peggy (Jim) LaChance of Willis; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Palmer; brothers, Ace, George, Fred, and Danny; and sisters, Helen Nowitzky; and Toots Staten. Cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Palmer.
He is survived by his sons, Ben Palmer of Lapeer; John Palmer of Romulus; Jerry Palmer of Romulus; Jeff Palmer of Belleville; James Palmer of Harrison; James (Taylor Erickson) Palmer II, USMC, USAR of Lachine; Dennis (Leighanna) Palmer, USAR, of Fort Drum, New York; daughters, Debi (Michael) Grybas of Stockbridge; Peggy (Jim) LaChance of Willis; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Cremation has taken place and there are currently no services scheduled for Mr. Palmer.
