Ronald Oberski

July 8, 1957 — December 31, 2021

Ronald Dale Oberski, age 64 of Atlanta, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on December 31st. He was born in Sterling Heights, MI on July 8, 1957 to the late Richard and Carol Oberski. He was a graduate of Hillman High School class of 1975. Ron met and later married his wife Tammy Truitt in California on June 14, 1986. They had their first three daughters there before moving back to Michigan, where they had their fourth daughter. Ron enjoyed the outdoor activities northern Michigan offers, including hunting and fishing, and taught all of his daughters to embrace these recreations as they grew up. He could always be found tinkering in the garage or tending his lawn and garden.

Ron is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy; daughter, Krystal Oberski of Longs, SC; daughter, Kalyssa (Tim) Korby of South Range, MI; daughter, Kelsey (Chris) Porter of Browns Mills, NJ; daughter, Karly (Chris) Creguer of Unionville, MI; grandchildren, Kira, Aryan, Logan, Hayden, Lily, Meredith, Morgan, and Olivia; brother, Don Oberski of Atlanta; sister, Susan (Rodney) Johnson of Saginaw; brother, Chris (Tammi) Oberski of Atlanta; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Carol Oberski; niece, Melisa Johnson; and nephew, Elijah Tolbert.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held this spring at the Atlanta Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ron’s favorite local charity. Checks may be payable to Tammy Oberski and sent to 12584 Airport Road Atlanta, MI 49709 and will be forwarded to the charity.

Papa, you will be missed.
