Mr. Samuel Rush Hartle, 73, of Lewiston, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on April 10, 2026. He was born in Monroe, Michigan to the late Raymond and Vera (Gubbini) Hartle on April 19, 1952. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. At the young age of 23, he married his wife, Gedena (Bunch) Hartle and together they raised two daughters and celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing. Together they have resided in Lewiston since 2000. Samuel was a member of the Lewiston Moose. He enjoyed the hunting and fishing that northern Michigan offered, and on occasion when he was younger, he also enjoyed playing a round of golf. Family was important to him, and he treasured the time spent with them. He is and will be deeply missed by those who loved him and called him a friend.

Samuel is remembered by his loving wife, Dena Hartle; daughters, Trena (Ed) Steinhebel, Amy (Ron) Curtis; and grandchildren, Destiny (David) Farkas, and Eddie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Vera Hartle; brothers, Raymond and John; and sister, Louis Legg.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Samuel privately at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Green Funeral Home.
