Sandra Smith

Sandra Kay Smith Mrs. Sandra Kay Smith, 54 of Atlanta, Michigan died unexpectedly at her home on July 27, 2015. She was born in Grayling, Michigan the daughter of John and Barbara (Martin) Tafelski on January 4, 1961. She moved to Atlanta a year ago, formerly of Tawas City. Sandra worked for Briley Township as a tax assessor and prior to that had worked for Tawas and Otsego counties as well. She was very dedicated to her work. When she wasn't working she enjoyed crafts, especially Christmas decorations. She was an avid golfer and dearly loved her dog, Trixie. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by mother, Barbara Tafelski of Atlanta; brother, Norman (Pattie) Tafelski of St. Ignace; half-brother, Rick Merritt of San Jose, California; and niece, Sara Tafelski of St. Ignace. She was preceded in death by her father, John Tafelski. Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service held for Mrs. Smith at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Briley Township Cemetery; Atlanta; Pastor Roger Steele officiating.
She is survived by mother, Barbara Tafelski of Atlanta; brother, Norman (Pattie) Tafelski of St. Ignace; half-brother, Rick Merritt of San Jose, California; and niece, Sara Tafelski of St. Ignace. She was preceded in death by her father, John Tafelski.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service held for Mrs. Smith at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Briley Township Cemetery; Atlanta; Pastor Roger Steele officiating.
