b. April 9, 1948

Susan Kaye Benac Ms. Susan Kaye Benac, 65 of Hillman, Michigan joined her mother and father in the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 5, 2013. She was born at home in Hillman on April 9, 1948 to Charles "Fred" and Fidelis (Dice) Benac. She made her home at the Avalon Group Home in Hillman since 1980. She enjoyed family activities at Thanksgiving and her yearly pedicure parties at the beauty shop with all her sisters. She came from a large family of six brothers and five sisters and will be missed dearly by them all. Susie is survived by four brothers, Charles Jr (Carol) Benac of Hillman; William (Barb) Benac of Hillman; Kenneth (Bonnie) Benac of Hillman; David (Judy) Benac of South Dakota; and five sisters, Margaret (Calvin) Barton of Lachine; Bonnie (Roger) Frye of Hillman; Linda Benac of Hillman; Mary (Harry) Davis of Hillman; and Theresa Klein of Hillman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fidelis Benac; and brothers, Raymond and James. The family would like to thank all the staff, previous and current, of the Avalon Group Home for their loving care of our sister for the past 33 years. She was truly blessed to have found such a caring, warm, and loving home. Funeral services for Ms. Benac will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Hillman, Michigan, Fr. Rolando Silva officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30AM until time of service. Interment will take place at St. Augustine's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made me made to the St. Augustine's Catholic Church.
