Mrs. Cheryl Kay Tikkanen, 68 of Comins, Michigan died peacefully at her home on October 15, 2020. She was born on November 23, 1951 to the late, Chancey and Glynes Cook. She married her husband, David Tikkanen, on June 26, 1971 and together the couple celebrated 49 years of marriage before her passing. Cheryl worked as a home healthcare worker all over Michigan for ten years. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, puzzles books, reading novelties, and caring for her house plants. She also collected bells, musical boxes, and four generations worth of Blue Willow plates. Most importantly, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, David Tikkanen of Comins; daughter, Tonya Tikkanen of Comins; son, Thad (Joell) Tikkanen of Atlanta; grandson, David; sister, Lynette (Mike) Withey of Atlanta; and nephews, Randy, Daniel, Carl, and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chancey and Glynes Cook.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Cheryl privately at this time.
