Edna Kenyon

UPDATE: SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Mrs. Edna Lenora Kenyon, 90 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on May 20, 2021. She was born in Briley Township, Michigan on March 8, 1931 to the late, Grant and Mabel (Burley) Thompson. She married her husband, Gerald Kenyon, on June 11, 1948 and together the couple celebrated 72 years of marriage before her passing. Formerly of Clarkston, they returned to Atlanta in 1977. Edna was a volunteer at Helping Hands and she loved to garden. Most importantly, she valued time spent with her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed.

Edna is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Kenyon of Atlanta; children, Vicky Weaver of Atlanta; Gerald (Mary) Kenyon of Bridgeport; Greg (Barb) Kenyon of Oxford; Michelle (Ron) Weaver of Waterford; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Mabel Kenyon; and son, Grant.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service held in celebration of Edna's life at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Briley Township Cemetery. A luncheon will follow services at the Senior Center.
