Mrs. Gay Ann Hoffner, 60 of Hillman, Michigan, formerly of Kentucky, died peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center of Alpena on August 30, 2020. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on December 7, 1959 to the late, Walter and Jane (Byers) Kopilchack. She married her husband, George Hoffner in Troy, Michigan on June 16, 1984 and together the couple celebrated 36 years of marriage before her passing. Gay enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was a fan of both Detroit Red Wings hockey and Liverpool. She was a huge Beatles fan and enjoyed traveling. She traveled with her family every year to Florida and had plans to visit London, England. She was devoted to her family and her children and valued the time she spent with them. She will be dearly missed.

Gay is survived by her husband, George Hoffner of Hillman; sons, Matthew Hoffner of Rochester Hills; Michael Hoffner of Hillman; sisters, Grace Mitchell of White Lake; Diane Kopilchack of White Lake; Tammy (Johnnie) Shaw of Pontiac; nieces, Christina Cheney and Jazzma Stover; nephew, Isaiah Shaw; two grand nieces; six grand nephews; and one great-grand nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jane Kopilchack.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Hoffner on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Green Funeral Home, Hillman from noon until time of service at the cemetery.
