Helen Kordan

Mrs. Helen Denise Kordan, 69 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully with her husband at her side on the evening of September 24, 2019. She was born in Darby, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Earlin) Byrne on October 9, 1949.  The couple moved to Hillman in July of 2019 from Tucson, Arizona. Helen worked in guest services at the Holiday Inn for 13 years and the Ramada for 15 years in Durango, Colorado. She loved to take pictures of nature and was an avid camper. She enjoyed fishing and traveling and time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Kordan of Hillman; son, Edward Lipcholk of Lester, Pennsylvania; stepsons, Aaron (Sandra) Kordan of Tucson, Arizona; Scott (Barbara) Kordan of Sheridan, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Michael (Loretta) Byrne of Morton, Pennsylvania; sisters, Theresa (John) Fulmer of Collingdale, Pennsylvania; Ruth (Joe) Harness of Collingdale, Pennsylvania; and  Ann (Rick) Purier of Swathmore, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Byrne; sister, Patty Townsend; brother, Joe Byrne; sisters, Mary Kinder; Dorothy Drumm; and Catherine Romanelli.

As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Helen privately at this time.
