Mr. James Michael Kalanquin, 46 of Hillman, Michigan died suddenly at his home on May 3, 2020. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 2, 1973 to Lavern and Lois (King) Kalanquin. He married his wife, Paula (Willey) Kalanquin on September 22, 1997 in Daytona Beach, Florida and together the couple celebrated 22 years of marriage before his passing. James worked at Red Lobster as a cook in Florida before moving to Hillman in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, watching his son's play sports, hanging out with his children, and socializing with friends. He will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his loving wife, Paula Kalanquin of Hillman; sons, Michael Kalanquin of Westland; Kody Kalanquin of Hillman; daughter, Kaydee Kalanquin of Hillman; mother, Jeannie Kalanquin of Tampa, Florida; and sister, Lori (Larry) Neeley of Flint. He was preceded in death by his father, Lavern.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember James privately at this time.
