Jody Edwards Sr

Mr. Jody Jerome Edwards Sr, 54 of Alpena, Michigan, formerly of Texas, died peacefully at MyMichigan Medical Center of Alpena on April 2, 2023. He was born in Alpena on April 11, 1968, to Arnold and Lydia (Gammey) Edwards. Jody and his  family moved to Texas when he was just six months old and they resided there up until 2020 when they moved back to Alpena. He celebrated 29 years of marriage to his loving wife, Laurie (Kirksey) Edwards.

Jody is survived by his wife, Laurie Edwards; mother, Caroline Edwards; sons, Blake (Darien), Ryan (Kenzie), Jody Jr; three grandchildren; sisters, Janet (James) Roberts, Cindy (Danny) Gregg, Karen Isaac, Olivia Ferguson; and brother, Arnold (Rhonda) Edwards. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold; brother, Stanton Gardner, and sister, Mitzy Wilson.

Funeral services for Mr. Edwards will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until time of service with interment following services at Briley Township Cemetery.
