Joseph Mager

Mr. Joseph Hubert Mager, 93 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully with family at his side at Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital on August 31, 2021. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 14, 1928 to the late, John and Regina (Nowak) Mager. Joe worked for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1982 and moved to Atlanta. He enjoyed camping, mowing lawns for extra work, and walking his dog, Lizzie. Above everything, he enjoyed time spent with family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Glenn (Shirley) Mager of Georgetown, Florida; Georgina (Don) Jenkins of Lapeer; David (Zela) Mager of Oxford; Sue Parrish of Eastview, Kentucky; Paul (Sherri) Mager of Gaylord; Anita (Tom) Triplett of Waterford; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen McBeth of White Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Regina Mager; first wife, Lillian; second wife, Edna; brothers, Anthony, Chester, Raymond, Hank, Tommy, John; and sisters, Genevieve and Dorothy.

Funeral services for Mr. Mager will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, Lewiston. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will take place at Briley Township Cemetery, Atlanta.
