Julie Smith

Mrs. Julie Ann Smith, 81 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by the love of her daughters at her home on the evening of August 2, 2020. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 20, 1939 to the late, Eugene and Gladys (Beardsley) Sampson. Formerly of Clarkston, she has resided in Atlanta for the last 15 years. Julie retired from PNC bank where she worked in mortgage. She was a member of the Atlanta Eagles 4077 and a former member of the Pontiac Oakland Society of Artists. She loved art and thoroughly enjoyed painting. She also enjoyed writing, playing the piano, and going out to eat. She will be missed dearly by her family.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Linda Smith; Lisabeth Smith both of Atlanta; Valerie Pearsall of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons, Justin Plevinski and Evan Plevinski; and great-granddaughter, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Gladys Sampson; and brother, Bill Sampson.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Julie privately at this time. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations to be made to the Elk Country Animal Shelter, 11484 Youngs Road, Atlanta, Michigan 49709.
