Linda Ferguson

Ms. Linda Rose Ferguson, 66 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on February 21, 2022 at WellSpring Lutheran Services in Fairview after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her father, Donald. Linda was born in Trenton, Michigan to Donald and Joan (Roehrig) Smith on July 20, 1955. She has resided in the Atlanta area for the last 40+ years. Linda was a past member of Canada Creek Ranch and a present member of the Atlanta Eagles. She worked at Lucky D’s and thoroughly enjoyed her job, the people she worked with and especially her regular customers. She liked taking trips to the beach, being outdoors, and her big black lab, Riley. What she enjoyed most, however; was the time she spent with her granddaughter, Mia. Linda will be deeply missed. She leaves behind countless memories and an infinite amount of love.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Maggie (T-Jay Gascho) Winans of Comins; Marie (Trevor) Goerts of Fargo, North Dakota; grandchildren, Mia and one grandson on the way; sister, Beth (Dale) James; and mother, Joan Smith both of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of her life at noon on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until time of service. Following the service there will be a luncheon provided in memory of Linda at the Atlanta Eagles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
