Norma Jones

Mrs. Norma Alta Jones, 95 of Atlanta, Michigan passed peacefully at her home on December 23, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Wells, Vermont to the late, Franklin and Laura (Hadaway) Lewis on February 26, 1925.  Formerly of Rockwood, Michigan she has resided in Atlanta since 1978. While living in Vermont Norma taught in a one room schoolhouse in Tinmouth for two years. She was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing BINGO and solitaire, as well as telling stories, however; what she enjoyed most was to bake. Norma will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Anderson of Atlanta; son, David (Tracey) Jones of Panama City, Florida; daughter-in-law, Reba Jones of Elizabethtown Kentucky; grandchildren, Marty, Joey, Claude, Norma Jean, Robert, Juilane, Tina, David, Laura, Richard, Rusty; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, and her best friend of 91 years, Winnie Oakman of Wells, Vermont. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Laura Lewis; husband, Harold; sons, Robert and Richard; sister, Mabel; and granddaughter, Judy.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Norma privately at this time.
