Mrs. Patricia Ann Smith, 75 of Curran, Michigan, formerly of Atlanta, died peacefully at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland on June 7, 2019. She was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on December 14, 1943 to the late, Ronald and Virginia (Van Derherchen) Buchanan. She resided in Atlanta for ten years before moving to the Curran area. She enjoyed fishing, playing yahtzee, and camping. She was a camp host at multiple parks over the years. Above everything she valued her time spent with family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Guitar of Rapid City; Gail (Darryl) Deal of Spring Hill, Florida; Janie Crane of Delaware; sons, Ron (Carrie) Crane of Lexington; Tony Buchanan of Curran; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Chuck (Joyce) Buchanan of Waters; Ronald Buchanan of Gaylord; Jim (Polly) Buchanan of Waters; and sister, Ulainee (Donald) Lythgoe of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Virginia Buchanan; stepmother, Lenora May Buchanan; son, Howard Schemke; daughter, Kathleen Buchanan; granddaughter, Natasha Deal; and sister, Virginia Dunning.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will take place at noon on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta; Pastor Jerry Robertson officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will take place at Briley Township Cemetery.
