Thomas Rissmann

Thomas Arthur Rissmann Mr. Thomas Arthur Rissmann, 71 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on January 16, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 15, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late, Adolph and Renata Rissmann. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He married his wife, Patricia (Greenlee) Rissmann on May 16, 1970 in Detroit and together the couple celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing. Formerly of Algonac, Thomas resided in Lewiston with Patricia since 2010. He was a member of the American Legion Post 198 and the Lewiston Moose Club where he was known as "the janitor." Thomas loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, boating, camping, and fishing. He liked NASCAR racing and was a football fan. Most importantly, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Thomas was loved by everybody. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Rissmann of Lewiston; son, Tom (Diana) Rissmann of Washington Township; daughter, Tricia (Gilbert) Ripley of Leroy; grandchildren, Steven, Jenna, Allison, Ryan, and Claire; and sister, Wanda (Donald) Schulz of Algonac. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Renata Rissmann.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in celebration of Thomas' life on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Lewiston Moose 2495 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
