Mr. Timothy Ralph Banks, 76 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at his home on January 31, 2021. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late, Ralph and Amy (Milliard) Banks on January 31, 1945. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the silver star and purple heart. Timothy resided in Hillman most all of his life and was a member of the VFW Post 2356 and also the past post commander. He was a passionate reader and enjoyed hunting, the occasional fishing trip, and picking blueberries and mushrooms. He will be missed.
Timothy is survived by his children, Melanie Banks of Atlanta; Nanette (Ed) Ruddy of Alpena; Mary Brown of Hillman; Charlie (Pam) Banks of Hillman; Rodney Banks of Adrian; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Mark) Brainard of Adrian; brothers, Ralph (Linda) Banks; Keith Banks both of Hillman; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Amy Banks; brothers, Johnny, Mike, George; and sisters, Yvonne, Carol, Kay, Joy, and Marilyn.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Timothy privately at this time.
