Ruth G. Harris
Ruth G. Harris, 90, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Engleharts Care Home in Atlanta. She was born the youngest of 6 children on September 15, 1918 to Delmar and Lula (Mattox) Gunther in Literberry, IL. She married Clyde Harris on July 3, 1961. She lived in Atlanta since 1963. She was a life member of the Atlanta Rebekahs and was an avid bowler, at one time participating in 3 leagues. She enjoyed hunting and fishing when she was younger. She loved living up north and became quite a northwoods girl.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Pate of Romulus, MI; and special nieces and nephews, Nancy (John) Webb of Atlanta, and Denny (Sue) Harris of Adrian, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde.

Funeral services for Mrs Harris will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, MI at 12:00 PM, Pastor Dave Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Avery Twp Cemetery.
