Hazel Jane McKenzie
Hazel Jane McKenzie, 88, of Hillman, passed away on October 14, 2008 at Medilodge Nursing Home in Hillman. She was born on April 17, 1920 to Oliver and Mabel (Robinson) Near in Saginaw, MI. She lived most of her life in the Hillman area. She enjoyed socializing and shopping. Hazel loved to cook, especially baking, she was known in Hillman as the "Pie Lady". She enjoyed playing BINGO at the nursing home. Above all else, she loved to be with her family.

Hazel is survived by her son, Gary McKenzie of Hillman, MI; daughter, Shirley Jacobs of Fraser, MI; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lettie Newfine of Saginaw, MI.

Funeral services will held on Friday, October 17, 2008m at 2:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home, Hillman, MI, Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
