James R. Brooks
James Roy Brooks, 74, of Atlanta, MI, passed away on June 16, 2010 at MediLodge of Hillman.

He was born on Nov. 28, 1935 to Roy and Margaret (Sherbonda) Brooks in Atlanta. He spent most of his life in the Atlanta area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed listening to Detroit Tigers play on the radio.

James is survived by his sister, Ileen Weaver of Atlanta; brother, Lawrence (Joyce) Brooks of Atlanta; brother, Gail Brooks; sister Rose (Doug) Cheedie of Atlanta; brother, Richard Brooks of Atlanta; brother Jerry (Barbara) Brooks of East Jordan; sister Kay Young; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held June 18 at Briley Twp. Cemetery, Rev. Roger Steele officiated.
