Mara Louise Kane
Mara Louise Kane, 84, of Alpena, MI, passed away on December 29, 2009 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 6, 1924 to Russell and Lila (Taylor) Mitchell in Detroit, MI. She has lived in Alpena for the past 10 yrs, formerly of Detroit. She enjoyed boating, movies, and museums, and volunteered at the Alpena Sr. Center. She liked to travel, especially her trips to Niagra Falls, Alaska, and Las Vegas. She loved to dance, in her younger years she taught dance as well.

Mara is survived by her sons, Russ (Peggy) Hill of Davison, MI, David Hill of Watertown, WI, Paul (Darlene) Hill of Hillman, MI, and Stephen Hill of Alpena; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Gerald.

Graveside services for Ms. Kane will be held in the Spring.
