Mary Linda O'Connor
Mary Linda O'Connor, 42, of Alpena, passed away at Tendercare Nursing Home in Alpena on September 4, 2008. She was born on November 8, 1965 to Thomas and Linda (Kiser) O'Connor in Detroit, MI. She lived in Vine Street group home in St Clair, MI for many years, and spent some time in various other group type settings until living at Tendercare in Alpena. Mary participated in the Special Olympics over the years, medaling in various wheelchair races and ring tosses. She loved the movie "Annie", and would love to sing along with the songs in the movie. She enjoyed coloring. She was very lovable, God's gift to her was being able to draw people near and dear to her.

Mary is survived by her sister, Laura (Noah) Furtah of Atlanta, MI; nephew, Noah Furah III, of Atlanta, niece, Sheena Furtah of Bad Axe, MI; and great niece Teryana Stricland. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Linda O'Connor.

A memorial service for Ms. O'Connor will be held at a later date downstate
